🌟 Thrive Thursday Spotlight 🌟 This week, we’re proud to celebrate Jesse Allred, a phenomenal Language Arts teacher at Las Cruces High School! Mr. Allred is not only a fantastic educator in the classroom, where he fosters independent thinking and a love for learning, but also a dedicated advocate for his colleagues as the site NEA representative. He goes above and beyond to support staff at LCHS and across the district, always leading with a student-first mindset and a commitment to positive, solution-focused collaboration. His students recognize his impact too, nominating him for LCHS Teacher of the Year and praising his encouragement of their growth as independent thinkers. Each spring, the Congressional Institute sponsors a nationwide high school visual art competition to recognize and encourage artistic talent in the nation and in each congressional district. Students submit entries to their representative’s office, and panels of district artists select the winning entries. Winners are recognized both in their district and at an annual awards ceremony in Washington, DC. The winning works are displayed for one year at the U.S. Capitol. Congratulations to Troy Ainsworth from Organ Mountain High School for selection of his acrylic artwork titled, “Age-old Rivals”! #Thrive575
