Las Cruces Public Schools recognizes the benefits of distance learning which allows students access to high-quality education regardless of logistical constraints. The flexibility and convenience of distance learning provide expanded learning opportunities by making high-quality courses and highly qualified teachers available to students outside of the traditional school day. Our online classes offer standards-based, student-centered courses taught in an interactive and engaging format.

Students may apply to be 'Academy' students via the Virtual Learning Academy. Families who prefer to 'homeschool' students have access to LCPS online teachers and curriculum.

FLEX Learning is also available to students who are enrolled in LCPS schools. School counselors determine whether an online course is in the student’s best academic interest and request placement in a FLEX course on their behalf. In some instances, the student is responsible for payment ($200 per half credit). Please contact your school counselor for details.
